After organising many presentations in Europe, we thought there had to be a more efficient way of running small roadshows on a budget.
For smaller shows, it’s not cost effective to send a crew from England. We’ve also found that the service from local and hotel technicians can vary considerably. Then you may have language difficulties with local suppliers.
Our unique European network enables us to offer a central point of contact and a standard quality of service across Europe.
We already provide this unique Roadshow support service to three major banks. They find it saves them valuable time as they no longer have to arrive at the venue hours in advance to make sure everything is set and ready to start. As a result, they can fit more presentations into a day or make cost savings by travelling on scheduled flights. Previously, they often commissioned a private jet to travel from city to city.

When China’s largest commercial bank decided to hold an event to celebrate the opening of their new London office, they needed to find an events company who really understood and responded to their needs.
We were first introduced to the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China management team when we co-ordinated an event for the Republic of Korea at Gibson’s Hall. They were so impressed with our efficiency and customer service, we were first on their list when they went on to organise their own launch party.
Our sensitivity to cultural issues was to prove an important factor in the smooth execution of this job. For example, the positioning of the corporate banner at the entrance to the event was of grave importance to the Chinese. Chinese tradition specifies that the company name should appear over the entrance. However, the venue, being Grade 1 listed, would not allow graphics to be attached to any part of the building structure. Through mediation, we found a solution that would please both parties.
Our response was to build a free-standing frame that would hold the company graphics and lighting above the door. We also arranged for the florists to produce large traditional flower columns that would conceal the frame at both sides of the entrance. This option was happily accepted by the client and the venue.
For the event, we also provided a ten metre wide, white, free standing corporate graphic, raised on staging. The central graphics panel was produced in close consultation with the ICBC’s team, ensuring accurate Chinese character replication and adherence to brand guidelines. At the opposite end of the room a front projection set was installed, along with full sound system and creative lighting. Additionally, a traditional Chinese chamber group was organised to perform the background music in order to create the perfect atmosphere. The build-up time was very tight but with a fully briefed team the whole installation went without a hitch.
We want to run a 2 day conference in Rome for 250 at a 5 star venue for our EMEA Private Banking division. Can you provide the Audio Visual support we need without the need for a UK crew?

When this booking came through, we were immediately able to liaise with our Italian partners, and our UK producer was the only person who needed to fly out from our London office to manage the live event production.
This solution gave additional confidence to our client, as our senior producer has had a long standing relationship with the bank and has a deep understanding of what’s required for this type of presentation.
It’s also a very cost-effective way to deliver the job, as no set and equipment haulage costs or crew accommodation expenses were incurred.
The result was a very successful conference, ably delivered by our local crew and singly managed by our experienced UK producer.
Presentation Suite Installation
Matrix Chambers invited Icon Presentations to supply and install a new AV suite that was sensitive to the minimalist look of their new boardroom.
We planned and implemented a design that enabled the projector and screen to hide from view within the room’s false ceiling. The control equipment was stored within a wall cupboard with all cabling and connection points also fitted discretely out of view. The end result is a system that is completely invisible to the eye when not in use.
The design and acquisition phase lasted 4 weeks. In order to minimize any disruption to the firm’s business, the final installation was implemented over one weekend. The original installation included video projector, screen, sound system, dedicated PC and laptop inputs.
During the design phase, the layout was also future-proofed to allow for video conferencing at a later date. Eighteen months later, we have just returned to complete a hitch-free video conferencing installation.
